Wrong way motorist strikes THREE tractor trailers on Pennsylvania interstate

A multi-vehicle crash that occurred in Hempfield Township early Tuesday morning is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. on February 10.

PSP said that Daniel Oliver, 80, drove an SUV for several miles in the wrong direction on eastbound I-70, crashing into three tractor trailers.

WXPI reports that Oliver and one of the truck drivers has been hospitalized.

TribLIVE reports that police are reviewing dash cam video from the semi trucks as part of the ongoing investigation.
