After pulling into a truck stop in Burns Flat, Oklahoma, a driver stumbled across what he thought was a dead dog lying in the parking lot. Except she was still alive.
Although she lay motionless on the ground in 100 degree weather, the driver was able to notice her breathing and quickly made calls for help.
After being rushed to a Elk Creek animal clinic, doctors noticed severe abuse to the animal, with bite marks and scratches on her face and body. To top it off, she showed signs of recently giving birth.
Thankfully, after a day at the clinic, she is on her way to recovery. The community is outraged at the way someone left this sweet dog, who they’ve since nicknamed “Momma”, out to die in a parking lot.
