Truck Driver Posts This On Facebook After Witnessing Large Winter Pileup

A truck driver recently posted this commentary online, after witnessing the early stages of a large pileup in Pennsylvania.

Joseph Graham says he was traveling on Interstate 90 earlier this month, when he noticed a 10-car pileup on the road.

Knowing of the dangers ahead, he picked up his CB radio to alert other drivers in the area.

“I did what any driver’d do. I started to try and warn people. I yelled on that CB for 32 miles. Anytime I saw a truck, tried to warn them,” he said.

“And nobody answered. Nobody answered.”

The result? The small wreck that Graham witnessed turned into a large pileup involving at least 85 vehicles, including many commercial semi trucks.

In the video, Graham issued a plea to other drivers, “In the winter time, turn that CB on. It could save your life or someone else’s life.”

His second piece of advice is equally as powerful: If you’re uncomfortable driving in current road conditions, then get off the road until things improve.

“Stay in your comfort zone. Go with your gut feeling.” he says.

While Graham’s safety warning may seem like common knowledge to some, the large winter pileups that we’ve seen so far in 2016 proves that not everyone knows or follows these rules.
