Tennessee DOT Testing Program For Truck Drivers To Check Available Parking And Reserve Spots Using Their Smartphone

WRCBtv.com | Chattanooga News, Weather

The Tennesse Department of Transportation is testing out a program called SmartPark that will allow truck drivers to check available parking spaces, as well as reserve parking, using their smart phones. The program is slated to last for six months.

The new parking area will be located near mile marker 23 on the I-75 north in Tennessee. TDOT is currently renovating an old parking area that was located there, and will open the SmartPark parking area once the renovations are completed.

There is currently another SmartPark location that is active, located at mile marker 45 on the I-75 North, however the feature to reserve a parking spot is not currently active. It is expected to be functional in the near future.

To check available parking, and reserve a spot (once the feature is implemented) download the SmartParkUSA App or check out their website at www.smartparkingusa.com.
