Two People Killed After Pickup Rear Ends Semi Truck

Two people died in a crash in Clinton County, Michigan on Tuesday morning.

It happened along US-127 near French Road at around 8 a.m. when a pickup truck rear-ended a semi truck.  According to WILX, two people from the pickup truck died at the scene, and the truck driver was not injured.  Their identities have not been released.

The accident caused the shutdown of northbound US-127 while officials attended the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Coincidentally, this crash occurred just one day after this video advising drivers to keep a safe following distance went viral on Facebook.
