The times have definitely changed, and some men will tell you there’s nothing sexier than a female trucker.
We recently read an open letter written by Maggie Stone, the winner of Overdrive’s 2013 Most Beautiful contest. In it she gushed, just a little, about how honored she was to be chosen the contest winner for 2013.
She also talked about her life since then, which hasn’t changed much other than “getting razzed” a lot. Her winning crown rides along with her on her dash, and she said she loves looking at it and occasionally gets asked if she is the girl on the magazine.
One of last year’s finalists, Libby Clayton who works for Fort Worth Carrier Corporation says she entered the contest because she wanted to be photographed with a show truck.
Clayton also said at first it was overwhelming to ask her family and friends to vote for her, but she received a lot of support and encouragement which brought tears to her eyes.
Due to the overwhelming response to last year’s contest, Overdrive decided to have a 2014 Most Beautiful Contest, and there’s still time to vote.
This year’s winner will win a trip to the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas this August and will participate in the show, including having her picture taken with a Pride and Polish truck.
You can vote for up to three nominees daily and the contest ends on April 30th. So if you agree that female truckers are beautiful but haven’t voted yet, what are you waiting for?
