Several crashes were reported on Tuesday in South Bend, Indiana, amid winter weather conditions.
At least two crashes occurred around 11 a.m. on January 14 on the US-20/US-31 Bypass in South Bend on Tuesday, including a 15 vehicle pileup, according to WSBT.
“I am out here and visibility is horrible! Stay off the bypass!” said St. Joseph County Sheriff Redman.
According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, only minor injuries have been reported so far. Police say that an officer had to drive off the road to avoid being struck by a semi truck.
Poor visibility and slick driving conditions have been reported in the area.
The US-20/US-31 Bypass was closed from SR 2 eastbound up to Mayflower Road, according to local police, but the road has reportedly reopened.
