Missouri troopers deploy tire deflation devices to bring CHRISTMAS DAY semi truck pursuit to a safe end

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) issued multiple charges to a truck driver following a police pursuit on Christmas Day.

On the morning of December 25, 2025, MSHP troopers with Troop F attempted to stop a semi truck without an attached trailer.

The truck driver refused to pull over and a pursuit began.

ABC 17 reports that the pursuit lasted for approximately 40 miles and ended on Highway 61 near Hannibal, Missouri.

Troopers deployed tire deflation devices and brought the truck to a safe stop.

No injuries were reported.

MSHP identified the truck driver as 42 year old California resident Francisco Portillo.

Portillo was booked into the Marion County Jail on the following charges, MSHP said:
