A truck driver told police he had”little experience” driving through local roads after getting stuck in a town in Ohio around 2 a.m. on Thursday.
According to police reports, the driver missed a turn onto Interstate 71 and was rerouted through the tight local streets in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mt. Adams. He had reportedly only been driving for three weeks.
While navigating through town, the truck hit the corner of a tea bar, took down power and utility poles, hit a garbage can, and teared off bricks from the outside of a spa.
It took police offers and fire crews several hours to help the truck successfully find its way out. Several cars had to be towed out of the way in order for it to maneuver on the tight roads, WCPO reported.
With the help of responders, the truck driver was finally able to make his way out around 6 :30 a.m. — more than four hours later. The driver was cited for failure to maneuver.
