Four Semi Trucks Involved In Fiery Pileup; Portion Of I-80 Shut Down

A multi-vehicle crash involving four semi trucks has shut down parts of I-80 near Ottawa, Illinois.

The crash occurred Monday afternoon and at least one person has died. ABC 7 reported that the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office has been called to the crash site.

The damage was extensive.

Several trucks caught fire, another completely overturned, and one trailer was ripped open.

The accident closed the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of the highway at mile marker 93.
