The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a multiple vehicle crash in the Grapevine area over the weekend.
The crash occurred on June 1, 2025, on the northbound I-5 off ramp to Grapevine Road, according to CHP’s Fort Tejon – Grapevine division.
“Three box trucks following each other lost control negotiating the off ramp resulting in all three box trucks crashing. If you are following in a group, make sure you are following at a safe distance and at a safe speed. Giving plenty of space will ensure you don’t crash into the rear of the lead vehicle if they have to slow down for traffic or an off ramp,” troopers said.
The crash resulted in minor injuries, but “due to the box trucks carrying ice, emergency personnel were able to use the ice in treating the injuries.”
