Earlier this week, we reported on a truck driver that fell off an overpass on Interstate 75 in Tampa, Florida.
The incident happened on Wednesday, January 4th, and was reportedly caused by a car that cut off the truck. 49-year-old truck driver Samuel R. Colon Jr. told police that he swerved when he was cut off, and crashed through the highway barrier.
Today, the Florida Highway Patrol released the driver’s internal and external dash cam recordings, which shed some more light on the situation.
Colon was seriously hurt in the crash, but is expected to recover. After investigators reviewed the footage, Colon received a $500 citation for using his cell phone while driving.
