The Brandt company in Canada has converted several semi trucks into road-rail vehicles that can travel on the road like a normal truck, or can be operated on rail road tracks.
The rail wheels are outfitted on the truck and raised up for normal road travel. They are lowered in place when mounting the vehicle on the rail tracks.
