A truck driver recently sent us a clip, showing how quickly things can go from all-good to really-bad in inclement weather.
The footage was taken by driver Ali Hamzah in Lyons City, New York on northbound Route 14 earlier this week.
In the clip, the semi truck can be seen traveling along a highway mostly cleared of snow when suddenly, the rig hits a patch of ice and Hamzah loses control.
The truck then slides across the roadway before striking a road sign and sliding back across the roadway, into the northbound lanes again, before coming to a stop.
Luckily, no one was injured in the crash, but Hamzah’s truck did sustain some minor damage.
“I admit it, I was a little too fast for that icy road,” Hamzah told LiveTrucking.
“Thankfully, no injuries or major damage,” he continued.
