A truck driver was ticketed after blowing a tire on the highway on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred on September 6th at around noon in Marion County, Illinois.

According to Illinois State Police, a semitruck driven by 28-year-old Yazid Abdulla-Ali Al Nobi was traveling north on Interstate 57 when a front steer tire suddenly blew. The tractor trailer then went veering across the median and struck two other semi trucks, causing both southbound semi trucks to detach from their trailers.

Nobi and his passenger, 24-year-old Mohammed Hussein Mohsen, were both injured in the crash and transported to a nearby hospital, though neither of their current health conditions have been released, reported the Belleville News-Democrat.

Because his big rig accidentally blew a tire, causing him to lose control and crash, Nobi was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
