A truck driver was arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard over a stolen bag of ice at a truck stop Tuesday.
The incident occurred in Laredo, Texas on July 31st at an unnamed “local truck stop.”
Police say that the security guard saw the 45-year-old trucker Mouhamadou Diallo grab a bag of ice without paying for it and went over to confront him. Diallo refused to pay for the ice and ignored the security guard, walking back to his truck.
The security guard then stood in front of the semi truck in an attempt to keep him from leaving, so Diallo tried to run the security guard over, reported KGNS News.
Diallo was then arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but was not charged for allegedly stealing the ice.
