A semi truck smashed into a bridge in Missouri Wednesday after losing control in rainy conditions.
The accident happened in Rolla, Missouri at around 7:00 a.m. on August 15th.
According to KY3 News, the semi truck was traveling west along Interstate 44 in rainy conditions when troopers say the truck driver was going too fast and lost control, sending the truck sliding off the interstate where it struck a guardrail before coming to a stop after crashing into a bridge support.
Luckily, the driver was not injured and the bridge was not seriously damaged.
The truck was hauling empty plastic bottles at the time of the wreck and one lane of I-44 had to be closed as crews worked to clear the wreck and inspect the bridge. The area has since been cleared.
