A truck driver was caught reading about texting and driving laws while using his phone as he drove on Tuesday.

The incident happened on March 13th in the city of Kent in the UK.

According to Fox News, Kent police pulled the truck driver over after they noticed he was using his phone while behind the wheel. Upon inspection of the phone, the officers discovered that the unidentified truck driver had been reading a WhatsApp message about the penalties of using a phone while driving at the time he was pulled over.

“Just seen the driver of this vehicle texting whilst joining the M2 at J5, what was so important?,” the officers tweeted later.

The truck driver was given a lecture on the dangers of phone use while driving, and was handed a $275 fine, the maximum penalty for using a phone while driving in the UK.
