A stolen semi truck was found 20 minutes away from a bin site completely undamaged with its cargo still in tact in Minnesota this week.
The incident happened in Meeker County, Minnesota on July 23rd at around 9:00 a.m.
According to the Hutchinson Leader, Craig Weseman and Sons arrived at the bin site on Monday morning to discover one of their semi trucks loaded with soybeans was gone. Tiffanie Weseman, family member to Craig Weseman and Sons, then posted about the missing rig on Facebook, sharing it both on her own page and on the local Real Life in Litchfield Facebook page at around 10:00 a.m.
At around 4:00 p.m. that day, Tiffanie received a message from someone regarding the tractor trailer.
“We heard something back at about 4 p.m. from someone who thought they knew something about it,” she said.
The informant then apparently “drive around and looked” before sending another message notifying Tiffanie of where the big rig was located.
The family then drove to the location – Harwick, a town located in Kandiyohi County about 20 minutes away.
“It’s home now,” Tiffanie said.
“Everything is intact. There is no damage we can see as of right now…. That’s our business. That’s our livelihood.”
“It was just parked,” added Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze, who is still investigating the incident as a theft.
“Did someone need to get somewhere and they stole the closest vehicle?”
