A semi truck hauling molten aluminum overturned in Kentucky on Wednesday, creating an accidental sculpture as the aluminum hardened.
The accident happened in Daviess County, Kentucky at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Highway 231.
According to KRON 4 News, the semi truck was traveling along Highway 231 just south of the William Natcher Bridge when, for unknown reasons, the rig overturned, spilling its load of molten aluminum which immediately hardened as it spilled from the trailer, forming a bizarre abstract sculpture on the side of the roadway.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Both the north and southbound lanes of Highway 231 were shut down for several hours as crews worked to clear the debris from the wreck. The highway has since been reopened.
