A sedan was crushed beneath a tractor trailer turning right on Monday afternoon after the motorist ignored the truck’s “Caution Wide Right Turns” sign.

The accident occurred on May 15th at approximately 12:10 p.m. in Macon, Georgia.

Police say that the motorist, 38-year-old Rasheem Shaheed, was traveling down Holt Road when he approached the turning truck, which had veeered left in order to make the right turn on the narrow, two lane road.

Shaheed then honked his horn and ignored the trucker’s right turn blinker and the big yellow “Caution Wide Right Turns” sign posted on the back of the big rig, turning right alongside the rig where he was pushed into the curb and eventually caught beneath the trailer, reported The Telegraph Macon.

Shaheed suffered only minor injuries in the crash and was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. 54-year-old trucker, Noah White, was not hurt in the incident.

“Cars do this all the time,” said another trucker who happened to be passing by as officers investigated the incident.

It is not clear if Shaheed received a citation for the incident.
