A semi truck nearly slid down an embankment after being struck by a hydroplaning motorist in North Carolina on Thursday evening.

The accident occurred in Catawba County, North Carolina on May 10th at around 5:30 p.m.

According to WBTV News, a motorist was driving along Highway 321 near exit 43B when it suddenly ran off the road, veered back onto the roadway and then hydroplaned, sending the car crashing into a semi truck hauling coca cola and causing one of its tires to blow. The big rig then crossed a barrier and overturned, coming to a stop only feet from a deep ravine.

Luckily, no serious injuries have been reported.

The incident is still under investigation and police have not yet said whether and charges are being filed.
