
Police are investigating the murder of a trucker found slain inside his rig in Alabama on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on May 16th at around 11:30 a.m. at the Citgo gas station located at 1101 Bankhead Highway in Birmingham, Alabama.
According to AL.com News, police responded to a call reporting an unresponsive person inside a semi truck in the parking lot of the Citgo. The trucker was pronounced dead on scene.

Initially, police considered the type of death “unclassified,” but released a report on Thursday classifying the death as a homicide, but with no details regarding the actual cause of death.
Then, early Friday morning, the victim was identified as 55-year-old African American trucker Derry S. Anderson from Ohio.
