A Houstonian truck driver has made it onto the newest season of Survivor.

The 37th season premiered on Wednesday, September 26th and introduced the 20 new contestants.

41-year-old truck driver Carl Boudreaux was born in Beaumont, Texas and currently lives in Houston, Texas.

According to CBS News, he enjoys fishing, riding horses, and shooting pool and considers his 12 year “successful marriage” his claim to fame.

He says his reason for being on survivor is “to win a million dollars to put my family in a better financial situation. I love the show and have always wanted to be a part of it.”

Boudreaux also describes himself as “objective, tenacious, and adventurous,” and says that if he could take three things onto the island they would be “a picture of my family, a prayer card, my pocket Bible.”
