In December 2014, 175 miles of hell on I-70 broke loose between Indianopolis, Indiana and Vandalia, Illinois. It was appropriately dubbed “Icemageddon” after the December 2014 storms that caused a tremendous amount of accidents and shutdowns.
Some truck drivers were forced to abandoned their rigs, with one driver even going home for the weekend and coming back after several days to his rig.
