
A truck driver was killed after being run over by his own tractor trailer in New York this week.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 12th at approximately 11:40 a.m. in East Moriches, Suffolk County, New York.
According to the Suffolk Police, 72-year-old truck driver, Bruce Barth, stopped his tractor hauling a dump trailer in front of a residence on Moriches Avenue to deliver a load of dirt when he got out of his rig. The truck then began to roll, striking Barth.

Barth was then transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, reported Center Moriches Patch.
The motor carrier safety section of the Suffolk Police Department says they inspected the big rig following the incident, but their findings regarding the inspection have not been released.
