$98,000 worth of Ramen noodles were stolen from the back of a semi truck in Georgia last week.

The theft occurred in Fayette County, Georgia on August 1st.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says that an officer responded to a property on Highway 85 south after receiving a call of a vehicle theft.

When officers arrived, the property owner informed them that the trucker had gotten permission to park his rig there on July 25, but when he returned to his truck on Wednesday, August 1st, the 2004 Stoughton Se 53-foot tractor trailer was gone.

The driver then checked with the property owner to make sure the rig had not been towed – it had not – so the unnamed driver checked with other drivers parked nearby. Those drivers claimed they had last seen the rig on July 29th.

The semi truck was hauling $98,000 worth of Ramen noodles at the time of the theft, which adds up to around 520,000 packs of Ramen.

The rig has a license plate tag reading 202643A and a trailer number reading 20152059, reported 11 Alive News.

As of Friday, August 10th, officers still had no leads on the case. Anyone with information regarding the missing Ramen and rig are encouraged to call the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-461-6353.
