$800,000 worth of dimes were spilled after a semi truck lost control along a highway outside of Las Vegas on Tuesday.

The accident happened on May 8th at approximately 3:30 a.m. in northeast Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says that the semi truck was traveling south on Interstate 15 near Glendale when it struck a guardrail and left the roadway, overturning the rig and ripping open the trailer, spilling its load of several thousand dimes all across the roadway.

The unnamed truck driver and their passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with non life threatening injuries. They are expected to make a full recovery, reported News 3 Las Vegas.

Nevada Highway Patrol were forced to create a secure crime scene during clean up, preventing passersby from collecting the change.

The incident has since been cleared.
