41 illegal immigrants were discovered inside a semi truck in Laredo on Saturday after border patrol agents questioned the driver’s immigration status.

The incident happened in Laredo, Texas on July 14th at the border checkpoint along Interstate 35.

According to News 4 San Antonio, upon the unnamed truck driver’s arrival at the checkpoint, agents began questioning him about his immigration status for reasons that have not been specified. The driver then consented to a “non-intrusive inspection,” during which agents say that they found “multiple suspicious signs” with their x-ray machine.

Agents then conducted a search of the truck and discovered 41 undocumented immigrants inside.

The illegal aliens were all in good health and hailed from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.

The truck driver, who turned out to be a Unites States citizen after all, was taken into custody following the incident.
