Love’s has announced the opening of a new Michigan travel stop with more than 100 truck parking spaces.
The new Love’s Travel Stop, located in Capac, Michigan near the Canadian border opened on Sunday, March 22nd and is the second Love’s Travel Stop to open in the state according to a Love’s Press Release.
The newest location can be found at 3191 Capac Road, off of Interstate 69 at exit 176 and is expected to bring around 40 new jobs to St. Clair County.
“The new Capac travel stop is in a great location to serve professional drivers going to and from Canada through nearby Port Huron on Interstate 69,” said Love’s co-CEO, Greg Love.
“Our Customers have been asking for more locations in Michigan, and we’re happy to provide them with ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ in more parts of the state,” he continued.
The brand new 12,000 square foot store is open 24/7 and features a McDonald’s and a Chester’s Chicken, as well as a Love’s Truck Tire Care Center, where truckers can receive tire repair and replacement in addition to light mechanical work. The new location also offers snacks, gourmet coffee, soft drinks, fresh to-go food options, and even electronics.
In addition to the food and truck care options offered, the new location also features seven showers, a laundry facility, and 107 truck parking spots.
“The opening of Love’s will be an asset to the local economy and bring in more people who want to live in Capac and the area,” said Capac Village President John Gryzb, who also noted that the Capac Love’s is expected to bring in $3.29 worth of tax revenue to the area.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the new location on Wednesday, April 4th, during which Love’s plans on donating $2,000 to the Capac Friends of the Library organization.
