A dramatic video of a tractor trailer jackknifing on a busy Texas highway was recently posted online.
The incident took place on northbound Highway 59 in Houston, Texas, on Friday afternoon.
In the clip, the truck is seen traveling on the second-to-right lane when it approaches slowed traffic. Unable to stop in time, it quickly brakes and veers left, causing the rig to make a 180 degree turn into the left lanes and jackknife. Although the highway was busy, there were no cars in the space where the truck jackknifed.
The closest vehicle to the truck was the recording vehicle, which veered onto the shoulder in order to avoid a collision. The video was submitted anonymously to local news network KTRK-TV. Watch it below.
