The seizure of 50 AK-47s, thousands of rounds of ammunition, tactical gear, cash, and even a jeweled handgun from a Mexican semi truck was caught on film recently.
The seizure occurred 80 miles south of Monterrey, Mexico and the footage was released by Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office.
In the video, federal agents can be seen pulling the contraband from a secret compartment in the truck and laying it all out.
The driver of the truck, whose name was listed only as Eleazar or “L,” claimed he was traveling from Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Huetamo, Michoacan, Mexico. He was arrested on scene and is currently facing arms trafficking charges.
