The driver of a black Chrysler Pacific crossed the median on I-65 and hit the barrier, causing her vehicle to flip into oncoming traffic and strike a Ford explorer on March 28th. The driver of the Chrysler was ejected from her seat.
Truck driver Mike McCuller didn’t see the incident happen, but he did notice the wreckage and the woman lying on the street. Fortunately for them, McCuller used his truck to block two lanes of oncoming traffic to protect the ejected woman and the other victims.
There were 9 victims in total from the accident and each were taken to a hospital. The southbound lanes were closed for several hours.
The reason why the Chrysler crossed the median is still unknown, but Mculler’s quick thinking saved a bad accident from getting worse.
