Trucker Injured After Drunk, Unlicensed, Wrong-Way Driver Crashes Head-First Into His Rig

A truck driver was injured on Tuesday after a drunk driver hit his rig head-on in Atlanta, Georgia.

The crash happened around 3:00 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 75.

According to police reports, 24-year-old Jea Jung was traveling south in the northbound lanes and struck the tractor trailer driven by 69-year-old trucker Ralph Moore. Moore attempted to dodge the oncoming car, but was unable to avoid the collision.

Moore was injured in the crash and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The extent of his injuries are not currently known.

Jung, who was driving a 2013 Hyundai SGL, was not injured in the crash. He was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving while unlicensed and reckless driving.
