Trucker Gets Stuck Behind Two Slow-Moving Rigs, Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

A video of a tractor trailer driving on the shoulder to break up two speed-limited semi trucks that were blocking traffic was recently posted online.

The dash cam footage was captured and uploaded by YouTube user ‘DVILT’, who wrote “You won’t believe what this trucker did after two slower trucks blocked his way.”

The incident happened on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Arizona.

The clip starts with traffic backed up by two Swift Transportation tractor trailers, occupying both lanes of the highway.

That’s when a trucker behind the two slow-moving trucks decides to take action…

…and drives on the shoulder in order to pass the Swift trucks.

The truck manages to pull ahead of the other two.

Then the driver hits his brakes, causing the “moving wall” to be displaced.

The separation allows traffic to pass the slow-moving trucks and continue down the road.

The feedback of the trucker’s actions were mixed. Some people appreciated his move to free up traffic, while others criticized him for passing on the shoulder and “break checking” the truck on the right.

The motorist who recorded the footage was clearly pleased with the trucker’s actions, giving him a “thumbs up” as he passed his rig.
