Trucker Drives Rig Into Ditch To Save Lives

Dashcam footage uploaded by Youtube user SkudaProductions last week captures a trucker purposely taking his truck into a roadside ditch after realizing he wouldn’t be able to stop in time.

The incident, which occurred Thursday, June 1st outside of Berea, Ohio, was a result of an earlier accident that caused traffic to grind to a halt.

The footage was captured by a motorist, who was driving along the highway as traffic begins to slow to a stop.

A tractor trailer can be seen driving off of the shoulder, as it is unable to stop in time.

The green and white truck seems as if it is going to head into the treeline.

Suddenly, the trucker cuts the wheel, bringing the semi truck to a stop in the ditch.

All other traffic on screen comes to a halt safely. Thanks to the quick wit of this trucker, no one was hurt!
