A truck driver was shot in the early Thursday morning while driving down route 385 in Memphis, Tenn. The 31-year-old driver told the police that he was driving when he heard a bang from within his truck. Then he felt a sharp pain in his right wrist and saw a great amount of blood. He was able to pull over safely.
When the officers arrived on the scene they noticed that both the driver and passenger side windows were shattered. Police say It does not appear that the driver was specifically targeted.
The driver was not seriously injured but was taken to Regional Medical Center for treatment. The identity of the shooter has yet to be identified and many truckers feel concerned about taking the 385.
