Truck driver seriously injured after falling off Alabama overpass

A truck driver is in the hospital with serious injuries after falling off a highway overpass in Graysville, Alabama.

The accident happened on Friday morning, as the truck was traveling on Highway 78 in Graysville.

According to Adamsville Fire & Rescue Captain Andy Butle, the truck lost control for unknown reasons and veered off the overpass, landing onto Flat Top Road below.

The driver was seriously injured and rushed to UAB Hospital. His identity has not been released.

Local news stations ABC 33/40 reported live at the scene of the crash.
