Multiple agencies responded to a collision involving an 18 wheeler and a train in Grayson County, Texas, on Tuesday.
At 4:18 p.m. on April 22, Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue and other agencies responded to Highway 377 and Buck Creek Road for a reported “major accident” involving a semi truck and a train.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found the driver of the truck out of the vehicle, but the decision was made to transport the driver by helicopter to a hospital for treatment.
Firefighters say that the train occupants were checked but did not require medical treatment.
“Please keep the driver in your prayers for a speedy recovery,” Gunter Volunteer Fire & Rescue said.
The crash is under investigation.
