Surveillance camera shows beer truck veering off road before crashing into living room

Police say a truck driver fell asleep before veering off the road and crashing into a woman’s living room in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

It happened late Friday night, on September 15th, in northwest Milwaukee.

According to local WISN news, Milwaukee resident CheChee Williams was sitting in her living room, watching TV, when the tractor trailer hauling Red Dog beer came crashing into her living room.

Police reports indicate that the driver of the truck fell asleep behind the wheel.

“I heard it hit the house and I hit the floor, I guess it throwed me,” said said. “When I looked again I saw the front end of the truck and it seemed like it was still coming so the only thing I could think of was to get my dogs and get out of here.”

A surveillance camera near William’s home shows the truck leaving the roadway moments before it struck the house.

Williams wasn’t seriously injured in the incident, only suffering “some cuts” from debris.

The driver of the truck, whose name was not released, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries and released. It’s unclear if he’ll face any charges.
