A motorist captured a frightening scene on a busy Houston highway on Thursday afternoon, when a dump truck struck and knocked down a large traffic sign.
It happened on the East Loop of Interstate 610 in Houston, Texas, at the Market Street exit.
The impact caused the trestle to instantly collapse and come crashing down on the truck, severely damaging the vehicle.
All northbound lanes were immediately shut down. The condition of the driver, and any possible injuries, are not currently known.
Houston resident Carlos Escobedo captured the moments before and after the incident and uploaded two videos to Facebook.
The first video, shows Escobedo approaching the truck and attempting to notify the driver by honking and using hand signals.
His warnings went unnoticed, however, leading to the disastrous impact, which can be seen in a second video below.
