Police are searching for a stolen tractor trailer loaded with new refigerators

Police are on the search for a tractor trailer loaded with refrigerators stolen from a lot in Newark over the holiday weekend.

The red 2004 Mack truck hauling a blue container full of refrigerators was stolen from the 300 block of Elizabeth Avenue in Newark, New Jersey sometime between Wednesday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 25th.

The Mack truck’s license plate reads: AU158A. The trailer’s license plate number is not clear, but the trailer has the identifying number XYZZ2040282 written on the side, reported Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to call the 24 hour Crime Stopper Tip Line at (877)-695-8477 or (877)-695-4867.

Anonymous tips may also be submitted via the Newark Police Department’s website, or through the Newark Police Division smartphone app.
