Oversize Load Falls Off Semi Truck, Shuts Down Interstate 25 Ramp

An oversize load fell off a semi truck near LIttleton, Colorado on Thursday morning, shutting down an Interstate 25 entrance ramp.

According to KDVR.com, the semi truck was hauling a 116-foot wind turbine blade, which fell off as the truck took the ramp from eastbound C-470 to southbound Interstate 25.

A large crane was called to the scene to remove the turbine blade.

The incident occurred around noon, but the ramp was still closed as of 4:46 p.m. MST. The Colorado Department of Transportation recommends drivers take US 85 as an alternate route.
