In addition to a driver shortage in America, as you probably know, there’s also a shortage of technicians to keep the big trucks operating. For some it might not be the most exciting job (although that’s debatable), but it’s essential to keeping our economy moving.
Without truck drivers and people to keep them running, we’d have nothing. Literally.
Mike Rowe, of Dirty Jobs (and a bunch of other things you’re might be familiar with), wants people to know what the world like look with out big trucks.
The answer is not pretty.
Mike is looking to address the shortage in automotive and diesel technicians by awarding scholarships to help put people to work in these important positions.
