A 48-year-old Iowa man was shot and killed while making a delivery in Memphis, Tennessee, earlier this month.
According to the Fox-6 News, truck driver Lonnie Ludvigson was parked near the 700 block of South Prescott on January 9th, when he was approached by a masked gunman who ordered him out of his vehicle.
The masked man then walked him towards a blue Mazda, with three other masked individuals inside, and demanded money.
The 48-year-old driver attempted to run away, but was shot several times.
One neighbor said he heard “about ten gunshots” and saw the four masked men fleeing the scene. He then attempted to revive the driver by performing CPR, but was unsuccessful. Ludvigson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ludvigson was an Army veteran and cancer survivor.
A police investigation is underway, however no arrests have been made.
