Man’s Facebook Post About Cutting Off Big Rigs Goes Viral

A Facebook post about a crash between a passenger vehicle and tractor trailer has recently gone viral. The post which can be seen below, accurately describes the dangers of cutting off big trucks, but uses a photo from an unrelated incident.

Kyle Beaton

The space in front of a semi was put there by the driver to have a safety cushion, not for your convenience to slide on in there. I hope all my friends see/read this, and think twice next time before you want to cut off a big truck. Your funeral could be next.

The photo was taken at the site of a five vehicle collision on Interstate 20 in Georgia earlier this month.

Two people were killed in the mangled passenger vehicle, but there is no evidence that the tractor trailer was cut off. According to previously reported information, the pickup truck was stopped in traffic when it was struck from behind by a tractor trailer that was unable to stop in time.

The (partially) inaccurate Facebook post was shared more than 10,000 times in less than 24 hours.
