A Tri-County Automotive Tow truck driver was doing his job and towing away vehicles illegally parked on Melody Lane in Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was towing the car of 67-year-old Joesph Fodera when an upset Mr. Fodera approached him. The tow truck driver told police that Fodera started yelling at him and grabbed his arm, and when he told the man not to touch him he was kicked in the groin.
According to WPBF, Fodera admitted to the police that he lost his temper and kicked the tow truck driver. He now faces battery charges for the incident.
Tri-County owner Anthony DiFrancesco told reporters that this is the first time one of their drivers has been physically attacked. “Nobody likes to get towed. We get threats, people yelling, but rarely does it ever come to violence.”
