A man attempted to commit suicide by jumping in the way of a moving semi truck late Wednesday night.
It happened in Nedrow, New York on September 6th at approximately 10:05 p.m.
According to Syracuse News, a tractor trailer was heading south on Interstate 81, near exit 16, when it encountered a man standing in the middle of the highway. The semi truck was unable to avoid hitting the individual and the man was struck by the oncoming big rig.
The man suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police say the accident appears to have been a suicide attempt.
The identities of the two individuals have not been released.
