History Channel’s ‘Ice Road Truckers’ is sometimes criticized for scripting its drama, but a former cast member is involved in a real-life drama that’s more bizarre than anything you’d find on reality TV.
Tim Zickhur, who has a cast member in 2011, was arrested in late 2013 and charged with 3 felonies: first degree kidnapping, extortion, and coercion.
His victim? A prostitute he hired that goes by the name ‘Snow White’. According to the police report, Zickhur hired her on December 18th and gave her his ATM card to take payment for her services. Zickhur then accused her of charging more than agreed, and asked her to come to his apartment to settle the dispute.
Once she arrived at his apartment, he tied her up, beat her and locked her in a closet. He then demanded the phone number of someone who could get him the money she owed and threatened to kill her if he wasn’t payed back. She then gave him the number of a police offer she knew and Tim made the call demanding the money. After agreeing to meet the man to retrieve the money the following day, Zickhur allegedly threw Snow White out his second story window.
The next day, Zickhur met with the cop who arrested him immediately. A trial is set for May 2014.
