The shady operator of a truck leasing company in Metro Detroit was recently confronted and exposed by Rob Wolchek of Fox-2 News.
After three different truck drivers shared similar stories of being defrauded by Bob Anderson of North South Leasing in Clinton Township, Wolchek decided to take a trip down to his place of business.
The truck drivers reported sending thousands of dollars in cashier’s checks to Anderson in order to lease a semi truck. That’s when Anderson demanded more money, and items such as the deeds to their homes. When they refused, he simply stopped picking up their phone calls.
One driver from Detroit stopped by North South Leasing’s offices, but was physically kicked out and had a chair thrown at him as he attempted to get his money back.
Turns out, Anderson has an extensive criminal history. He once posed as a truck insurance salesman and illegally pocketed premiums he collected. He also cashed checks that were written out to a trucking company that previously rented his office space. His rap sheet goes on and on.
Although he initially denies any wrongdoing, his lies quickly unravel in front of the camera.
Ultimately, Wolcheck tell’s Anderson “You’re kind of a snake,” to which he replies “Okay. You can say that.”
